The girls meet Dr. Allon!

We were so excited to show our little girls off to Dr Allon and he equally was ecstatic to meet them! Of course Brooke slept the whole time and Natalie wasn't so sure where she was and why she had to be there! LOL. The pic is a little blury and I tried to sharpen it up as best I could...the nurse who took the photo moved while she took it...I so wish that didn't happen. Anyway, enjoy the pic all the same!
We can't thank Dr. Allon and his staff enough for all of the wonderful work they do to help couples like us succeed in having beautiful children! He and his staff are truly gifted people making lots of couples into happy and proud parents!
Out with the girls to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary!
blog post coming soon...just marking it incase I get busy!

4 months old and Growing!
Here I took some images of the girls trying to capture the same feeling I get when I look at my baby photos. Its uncanny how much each of our children look like Brandon and I.
Brooke was a little more wiggly than Natalie was...but I absolutely adore how the photos turned out! I know they will grow up so fast...I don't want to miss any moment!!

Fall Festival at the Oil Ranch
We took the girls out to the Oil Ranch for Hewlet Packard's Fall Festival. There was lots of great activities to do...we actually can not wait til the girls get older and they can enjoy all the neat stuff they had there. We mostly just ate the great BBQ, had some snow cones, visited with Debbie (Boo's Co-worker) & her sweet family and walked around. I hobbled...my poor left foot has me crippled these days. Nobody told me that your body changes dramatically after childbirth....or maybe I am just one of those lucky mommies. Anway, the girls got all dressed up in mommies old dresses from when she was a tiny baby. Of course the style back then shows the dresses looking really short so I used them as shirts. We took a few pics of them...boy was it hard!! You need lots of hands to make this possible. Of course while I was photographing them we got lots of attention. I didn't do the best job. I swear I am a better photographer for other peoples kiddos other than my own. My excuse is I have two!! Enjoy...

Bed Rest ain't so fun!
Hi All,
I just wanted to let all of our family and friends know that I have as of yesterday been put on bedrest. I am actually sitting in the hospital as we speak with all these lovely monitors on me! so very FUN...my belly itches from it!
Anyway, here is what happened as of yesterday. I went in for my monthly U/S yesterday (my first one by myself mind you...wouldnt you know it) and after our ultrasound tech took all the measurements for the babies, which they are doing great by the way measuring in at 28 weeks (2.54 lbs) for baby A and 28 weeks & 4 days (2.65 lbs) for baby B, she then took measurements vaginally of my cervix because it seemed very short in the regular U/S. She said that she wanted to get my doctor to come in and look at the images, but not to be alarmed. So they set me up in another room, while the reviewed it. My Dr comes in and states that my cervix looks like it has shortened and gotten soft, so she did a pelvic exam and indeed concluded the same thing...she determined my cervix had dilated to 1.41. She immediately decided to admit me to the hospital for overnight observation, and that I would be recieving a shot of steroids to help aid the babies lung development incase they were to come earlier than desired. We are only 28 weeks and 5 days as of our admission to the hospital last night...so its a bit scary as I am sure most of you can relate to.
When I called Boo at work yesterday, I think I scared him. His first words out of his mouth were "hun I am in a meeting I will have to call you back" and I said in my sobbing voice "oh okay." He immediately said "what is wrong" and I told him I was being admitted to the hospital and tried my best to relay the info I was given but I was a bit overwhelmed so I dont think I did a very good job of it! He later told me his heart dropped because he thought I was calling to tell him we lost the babies...Let's hope that conversation never occurs!
Later on last night I actually felt what a contraction feels like...I think bc I was more aware...and being a FTM its not something you can really describe! Then 10 minutes later I had a sec one...scary moment. They ended up giving me Brethain (sp?) for the contractions...which makes you kinda jittery! Luckily they also gave me Ambien to sleep. Nothing like being jittery trying to sleep on your side with heartburn! So I was also given Malox and Procardia (sp?) to help calm the uterus as well...between all of that it is looking much better today. Though the night nurse said I may stay through Sunday.
My OB says I will be on bed rest at home if all goes well for at least 2 weeks...which means I have to really make myself be good. I am not a person who can easily sit still...but my number one goal is to get as far along as I can, obviously!

Happy Easter!!!
I thought it would be fun to paint my belly for the Holiday! Brandon's family got a hoot out of it at lunch that day. My sister in law Lorrie kept making me raise my shirt to strangers...LOL! She had a house full! It was a great day!
20 Weeks and Growing!
Its so exciting to finally be at 22 weeks!! We both can't believe how big the belly is getting. At about 19 weeks I was so mesmerized to feel our two little monkies move...what an absolute wonderful event it is. I am so greatful to be able to experience this...words will never be able to express the depth of joy and wonderment. Just last week at about the 21st week Boo got to join in the fun...that for me was such a special moment!! Here are our latest pictures of the two little ones.
Introducing Natalie Ava...she is the bigger of the two twins weighing in at 213 grams. She is my laid back girl. During the pics she coorperated very well with having her pictures taken! I think she is gonna be a camera ham...which is good because I plan on getting all those special moments!

Natalie Ava @ 20 weeks (fingers are at her mouth!)
...and Brooke Vivi...my mover and shaker! She weighs 191 grams...not much smaller. During the Ultrasound she gave Bertha a hard time getting her facial pics...she would only show her face literally for a sec. Luckily we caught on to her little game and caught her pic on the third try!! She is way too funny. She also likes to stretch apparently...she had her head arched back almost the entire time...maybe she will be our little gymnist!

Mommy at 22 weeks...yah the belly is an amazing thing to watch expand. I still am amazed at how the human body can go through such changes!

Poor Boo is so outnumbered!!
We went in for our monthly Ultrasound today...the babies are doing so well. Our technician was just wonderful...told us about each part of the babies she was examining, and took tons of pics of each body part for the doctor. They are growing right on target, and laying in the transverse postion horizontally...smelling each others toes!! LOL.
At 15 weeks and 4 days pregnant...Baby A is 16 weeks and 1 day gestational age, and baby B is 15 weeks and 5 days. We got to see the different chambers of the hearts...Bertha, our technician said they were really coorperative as she normally doesnt get such great images of the hearts. We saw their beautiful toes and hands with all the little digits.
The best part is the two babies showed us their goods and we got to learn the sex of each. Lets just put it this way...We are going to be paying for two weddings! Let's hope they both want to elope!!! So yup we are having two beautiful little girls!! We couldn't be happier...we both very much wanted to at least have one little girl. Mommie was a little sad that we weren't having a boy as well, but their is always next time...Maybe!!
Here are the two little ones' beautiful faces...Boo says they are already wearing skeleton masks and are ready for Halloween!

Mrs. Fatty
Isnt my nickname just fabulous? Thanks honey for the endearing name! Haha...He will argue that he didnt call me that but I know the real truth!! Here I am at 15 weeks...we measured my tummy and its a nice 38 inches and growing! Those babies are getting big. We go in on Friday for another 3D ultrasound, and may be able to find out the sexes if the babies show their goods!! Let's hope their up for the challenge...We want to start planning for these little ones.
I think Boo is very excited...he has been on a mission to paint all the back bedrooms...he has already redone the kids bathroom, and the game/flex room. Now the real challenge starts with switching the guest bedroom around to what was going to be the baby room...well with two coming the guests can be a bit cozier in the smaller room. We are still not sure what color to paint the guest room but for sure the babies room are going to be a beautiful sage/willow color with accents in ecru and deep plum. I can't wait to get that room started!

11 weeks...My how they are growing!
Brandon and I went in for our last visit with Dr. Allon at the IVF clinic. We were sad this was our last time to see him...if only he delivered babies too!
He did our first 3D Ultrasound which was pretty amazing...as soon as we figure out how to convert the .mvl movie to a format everyone can see we will post. However we did get some pretty cute and detailed pics of the little Twokins. At this point they are almost fully developed and are pretty much mini versions of a full size baby. They are about 1.8 and 1.6 inches respectively...for twins they are well within their size range, which I am very happy about. Their little hearts are still in the 160's to 170's range. We couldn't believe how much at this point that they looked like little humans but the most amazing part of this visit was to see them moving around as if they were doing water ballet...that was truly beautiful to watch and made me cry!
Recently I went to our new OB/GYN...she came highly recommended to us by another IVF couple and seems to be very familar with twin births. My visit with her went really well and she sent me home with a lot of literature. Our next visit with her is Feb 8th which will be another 3D/4D Ultrasound and possibly we get to find out what the sexes are! At this point I am convinced one is a girl and the other is an alien...the pictures below demonstrate why I have come to this conclusion!
This just has to be the little girl...isnt she adorable!?
Alien boy child...I swear it came from Boo's alien toe!
(actually this is the backview of the skull inwhich you see the two sides of the brain as it is developing...pretty amazing!)

Heart Beats at 8 Weeks (Dec 19, 2007)...We are very proud!
